TUTH provides facilities through General OPD (Out Patient Department), EHS (Extended Health Services), Emergency services and In-patient service. Registration is an entry point to the hospital. General OPD is an out-patient service which runs in two shifts: morning and afternoon. The registration for general OPD service opens from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the morning and 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM in the afternoon. Also general OPD has fixed quota (only fixed number of patients can register for checkup and the number is provided by the respective department) for each department. EHS (also known as paid clinic is a clinic service by TUTH) runs in afternoon shift however registration is open 24/7. Similarly, the emergency patients (patient who require immediate health service; casualties) are registered with minimal required information for emergency services. Thus the patients can be registered for general OPD, EHS or emergency services.
